Church is reaching the International Community in Moscow
Amazing things are happening in Moscow among the international community. On Saturday, May 10, Terry Young, who is the International Fellowship Director for the Moscow Good News Church, ministered to approximately 100 Malaysian students. The Malaysian Fellowship meets regularly to pray and study the Word, and their meetings are always lively and fun, reports Rick Renner Ministries.
Terry was asked to minister on the Holy Spirit, and he shared in detail from the books of John and Acts. He explained what the role of the Holy Spirit is; what Jesus said about the Holy Spirit; and the impact that the infilling of the Holy Spirit had on the disciples. After three hours of teaching, Terry invited those in the audience who were not filled with the Spirit to come forward for prayer to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. More than 30 people came forward - and as the Holy Spirit fell upon them, the room soon resounded with the joyful, wonderful sound of believers speaking in tongues and glorifying God.
Tears of joy streamed down several of the people's faces, and the presence of the Lord filled the room. Terry then shared with those who had come forward about the importance of praying in tongues to build up their faith. He also encouraged those who hadn't received the gift of tongues to press in and not give up.
God is doing something remarkable in the lives of these students. When they return home to Malaysia, they will return with more than just a degree - they will bring the mighty power of God to their unsaved loved ones.
The Vietnamese Good News Church continues to meet regularly as well. This week, Jane Blume ministered about the life of David, and two people received Christ. The Vietnamese Good News Church is a family-oriented church, and the services are always full of young people. Pastor Quok Hung continues to translate Christian books into Vietnamese, which he makes available online. Through his work and the work of the Vietnamese Good News Church, lives are being transformed in Moscow, Vietnam, and in Vietnamese expatriate communities around the world.
